Jacelyn Tan is an alumni of Nanyang Technological University with a humanities undergraduate degree specialising in linguistics. She brings over two decades of educational expertise to 7+ Academy. A versatile educator who is proficient in mathematics, English, and science, she possesses comprehensive insights of Singapore's education system. Known for her exceptional communication skills, Jacelyn is loved and well respected by her students and their parents. Her guidance has propelled several students to secure admissions to Singapore's premier institutions, including Hwa Chong and Raffles Girls' School, Dulwich College and United World College etc.
Vivian graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and minor in Japanese Studies. She amassed over 2,500 hours of teaching experience, catering to students aged 5-18. She is well-versed in IGCSE and IBDP English curriculum, and adept at designing games and visual aids to engage young learners’ interest in the English language. Consistently revising and researching teaching methodologies for English to keep lessons engaging. Actively supplements students’ learning with materials outside of textbooks. Highly patient, working closely with students and parents when needed to address and resolve learning challenges.
A distinguished graduate of the National University of Singapore, holding a First Class Honours Bachelor's degree with Double Majors in Applied Mathematics and Data Science. Proficient in IGCSE, IBDP, O and A Level mathematics curricula, Lecheng offers instruction in English, Mandarin, or Japanese, catering to diverse learning needs. Track record of consistent success in helping students improve their grades and excelling in exams. All-rounded individual with impressive achievements, including near-perfect score of 89/90 in A-levels, Top 2% in the challenging JLPT N1 with 1 year preparation. Passionate about education, loves sharing effective learning strategies and methodology.
Dr Hee possesses business degrees from prestigious universities like Nanyang Technological University (Bachelor), Imperial College London (Masters) and University of South Australia (PhD). She has over 15 years of teaching experience, including roles as a full-time tutor and adjunct university business lecturer. Specialises in business and economics from IGCSE to MBA levels. Excellent interaction with students, adept at motivating and guiding them in answering exam questions, analysing case studies, developing research proposals, internal assessments, and extended essays. Proven track record with several of her students scoring A* for IGCSE and Grade 7 for IBDP.
Dr Maurice Cheung is a science academic educated in the most prestigious universities in the world, with Bachelor degree in Natural Science from University of Cambridge and PhD in System Biology from University of Oxford. Passionate educator with 7+ years of teaching and mentoring experience as Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in Yale-NUS. Published several research papers and completed dozens of research projects on plant metabolic modelling. Ardent academic tutor in GCSE, A-Level and IB Chemistry and Biology, and a research mentor for secondary school students, eager to help students achieve their goals and witness their growth as individuals.
PhD Degree in Japanese Language from the prestigious Tsukuba University in Japan, Masters and Bachelor degree from Jilin University and Jilin Normal University. Dr Niu has more than 5 years teaching experience in government tertiary institutions, specialising in language psychology studies, Chinese and Japanese literature, and Chinese teaching for Japanese. She excels at the psychological aspects of teaching, ability to relate to students of all ages and thereby creating the environment for enthusiastic learning. Tremendous experience and familiarity with the IBDP syllabus and the Chinese and Japanese curriculum to help students ace their exams.
Gao Guanghao holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Project Management from the National University of Singapore. More than 3,000 hours teaching experience in teaching IBDP curriculum, and specialising in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Guanghao is passionate about education, and enthusiastic about knowledge transfer. Constantly researching for new and better teaching methods to make learning fun for students. He has an excellent track record of helping students to achieve high scores in the IBDP exams, with over 50% of students scoring over 40 and numerous cases with scores of 43 and 44.
Carrie Khoh graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. With a strong engineering background, Carrie's professional foundation equips her to provide students with a comprehensive science education. Boasting a diverse skill set, she is proficient in utilising tools such as Arduino, AutoCAD, Solidworks, C++, Python, microcontrollers, and mechanical design. Carrie's exceptional communication skills, coupled with fluency in both English and Chinese, enhance the learning experiences of her students. Carrie possesses the technical skills to design teaching approaches tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Holder of a honours degree in Business from the University of London, Lyn Chan brings over 5 years of expertise in teaching mathematics at primary and secondary levels. Her strengths as an educator lie in her in-depth understanding of mathematics curriculum, adept teaching skills, and ability to connect with students of varying ages. Leveraged her background and extensive teaching experience to simplify complex mathematical concepts, ensuring an enjoyable and effective learning experience for students. Proficiency in English and Chinese further enhances her communication and instructional skills, ensuring a broad spectrum of students can fully benefit from her expertise.

Xia Hongjuan graduated with a Bachelor degree in Chinese Literature from Beihua University and a Masters degree in Linguistics from Jilin University. She has been attending ongoing training in Chinese literature with Beijing University. Hongjuan has more than 15 years Chinese language teaching experience with Jilin University Cultural Exchange College and Jilin Normal University Cultural Exchange College. She has also published several research papers and completed dozens of research projects on Chinese language applications and teaching. Her experience and familiarity with the IBDP Chinese syllabus and curriculum helps students ace their exams.
